Iedereen heeft ze weleens, van die dagen waarop alles lijkt mis te gaan. Dat je een gaaf idee had voor een e-mailcampagne, hier alvast mee ging spelen en per ongeluk een testmail verstuurde naar je hele database. We bedachten hiervoor een oplossing, om de kans te verkleinen dat je per ongeluk een onafgeronde mail naar je database verstuurt. In iedere kant-en-klare nieuwsbrief staat voortaan een Lorem Ipsum tekst. Waar komt het vandaan en hoe kun je er voordeel aan hebben?<\/p>\n

De oorsprong van Lorem Ipsum<\/h2>\n

Lang geleden al werd Lorem Ipsum ingevoerd als proeftekst, namelijk in de 16e eeuw. De oorspronkelijke herkomst komt zelfs uit de klassieke Latijnse literatuur uit 45 jaar voor Christus. In de jaren ’60 werd Lorem Ipsum herontdekt bij de introductie van het elektronische tijdperk. Sindsdien is het een veelgebruikte proeftekst<\/a> in de ontwikkeling van drukwerk. De tekst ziet eruit als echte Latijnse tekst, maar heeft eigenlijk geen betekenis<\/a>. De tekst zou zelfs vol staan met spelfouten en verbasteringen.<\/p>\n

Het doel van Lorem Ipsum<\/h2>\n

Als je een pagina ziet waar normale tekst op staat, wordt de aandacht hier vaak naartoe getrokken. Het is voor een lezer moeilijk om er doorheen te kijken en louter te focussen op de lay-out. Om deze afleiding uit de weg te helpen zonder een tekstvlak compleet leeg te laten, is het zinnig om Lorem Ipsum toe te voegen. Lorem Ipsum heeft een gepaste afwisseling tussen lange en korte woorden, waardoor het geschikt is als voorbeeldtekst.<\/p>\n

Voorbeeld van Lorem Ipsum<\/h2>\n

Je kunt Lorem Ipsum als proeftekst in een ontwerp plaatsen. Je kunt hem afhankelijk van de lengte van de tekstruimte inkorten. Let wel op dat er talloze varianten van Lorem Ipsum bestaan, waarbij de enige gemene deler de eerste zin is. De hele alinea Lorem Ipsum is als volgt:<\/p>\n

‘Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua. Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquip ex ea commodo consequat. Alternatieven voor Lorem Ipsum<\/h2>\n

Er zijn allerlei alternatieven<\/a> voor Lorem Ipsum in omloop voor wie de klassieke versie niet kan waarderen, zoals de Hipster Ipsum<\/a> en Gangsta Lorem Ipsum<\/a>. Helaas streven deze vaak het doel voorbij, omdat deze varianten erg opvallend zijn en de aandacht trekken. En dat terwijl Lorem Ipsum als proeftekst juist is bedacht om de lezer niet af te leiden van het doel.<\/p>\n

Lorem Ipsum in je nieuwsbrief<\/h2>\n

Lorem Ipsum staat voortaan standaard in ieder kant-en-klaar template. Als je een e-mail verstuurt waar nog Lorem Ipsum in staat, krijg je automatisch een melding dat deze woorden zich nog in je nieuwsbrief bevinden. Wanneer je deze tekst als allerlaatste uit je nieuwsbrief haalt, loop je zo min mogelijk risico op het perongeluk voortijdig versturen van je nieuwsbrief.<\/p>\n
